Are you ready to spend the summer working with kids, playing sports, experiencing splash’tastic adventures and being a positive role model, all in a natural and beautiful environment that God has given us?   Are ready to spend several weeks surrounded by the beauty of Camp Lackawanna and the Endless Mountains? Do you have the will to be challenged in ways you never have before? Then look no further and get ready to spend a summer of a lifetime at Camp Lackawanna. We have openings for the upcoming summer season for Camp Counselors, a Kitchen Aide, and a Program Coordinator.

CAMP COUNSELOR

The summer camp counselor will be responsible for all the campers that attend Camp Lackawanna. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Living in the cabin with campers and ensuring a healthy and safe environment and making sure campers feel included and have fun.

  • Supervising and guiding Campers in all aspects of Camp Life including morning wake-up, cabin clean-up, camper hygiene, meals, recreation, daily adventures, bible studies and evening activities.

 

SUMMER PROGRAMS ASSISTANT 

The Summer Programs Assistant is to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of program activities and events.  Design and deliver program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and ability levels. Assist in the management of the overall camp operation at the direction of the director.

 
 
 
 
OUTDOOR LIVING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SPECIALIST

Outdoor Living and Environmental Education Specialist is to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of environmental conscious program activities and events. Design and deliver program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and ability levels.  Assist in the management of the environmental programming at the direction of the director.

AQUATICS COORDINATOR 

The Aquatics Coordinator is to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of aquatics program activities and events.  Design and deliver program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and ability levels. Assist in the management of the aquatics facilities at the direction of the director.

KITCHEN AIDE

The Camp Lackawanna Kitchen Aide will work directly under and support the Food Service Director in the planning, preparation and clean-up of all meals. Outside of meal-time responsibilities, the Kitchen Aide will act as support staff and aid in other area throughout Camp Life.

LIFEGUARD

The lifeguard is expected to be in charge of safety and cleanliness at the pool area and also attend canoeing trips. The responsibilities include the safety of all who use the pool, keeping the pool area clean and orderly.When the Lifeguard is not supervising pool activity or maintaining cleanliness, they may act as support staff and aid in the other responsibilities of Camp Life. Lifeguards must be Red Cross trained and certified. 

ARTS & CRAFTS COORDINATOR

The Arts & Crafts Director constructs age appropriate programming that relates to our summer theme. The Arts & Crafts Director is responsible for inventory and informing the Director what is needed for craft supplies. When the Arts and Crafts Director is not running a program they are expected to aid in the other responsibilities of Camp Life.

 

FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR 

The Food Service Coordinator is to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of meals and cookout events. Assist in the management of the kitchen at the direction of the director.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CAMP RANGER

The Camp Ranger is responsible for helping with maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping tasks.

HEALTH CARE PROVIDER

The Health Caregiver is to further the mission of the camp through caring for camper and staff safety and health. Manage all medication distribution and other infirmary duties at the direction of the director.
